## August Quotes for a Cause - Lansing Urban Farm Project

We are excited to run a monthly Quotes for a Cause campaign. Each month, our agency will be donating $5 per new business quote to a nonprofit or charitable organization, regardless of whether or not the policy is actually purchased!

For August's Quotes for a Cause, we partnered with the [Lansing Urban Farm Project](https://lansingurbanfarmproject.wordpress.com/) (LUFP). Laura Delind stopped by this morning and we were able to present LUFP with a check for $655! The project works to establish farms in urban Lansing that:

- Make fresh affordable produce available to residents
- Develop programs that integrate food and farming into larger community-building efforts
- Allow for economic, environmental, cultural and social sustainability

In September, we are working with the [South Lansing Community Development Association](http://www.southlansing.org/). The association engages residents and stakeholders in the development of programs and initiatives that support community health, economic opportunity and quality of life in South Lansing.
