## Community Highlight - Toys for Tots

Since September 2015, The Rathbun Agency has selected a different non profit each month as part of Quotes for a Cause. We partner with local organizations that are giving back right in our own community. At the end of each month, we present that month’s organization with a check for $1,000.

In October, we are partnering with the Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing and Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The mission of the program is to "collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted."

Each holiday season, the [Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing](https://hbalansing.com/#/events---education/toys-for-tots) partners with Toys for Tots and the community to give back. In 2021, the campaign was able to distribute 31,800 toys to 4,405 children. We will have a box in our lobby to collect toys and would appreciate any donations!
