## Rathbun Insurance is Proud to Support Lansing Shaped!

- Posted on Wednesday, June 11, 2025

At Rathbun Insurance, we believe _Being There Matters Most_—and that includes being part of the art, storytelling, and community that make Lansing such a vibrant place to live and work. That’s why we’re thrilled to be one of the businesses supporting **[Lansing Shaped](https://www.muralmatics.com/lansing-shaped)**, a powerful, city-wide mural and storytelling project launching this summer!

Local artist [Muralmatics](https://www.muralmatics.com/lansing-shaped) founder **Dustin Hunt** painted three large-scale portrait murals across Lansing, each representing **one family across three generations**. These murals now grace **three repurposed school buildings** located in Lansing’s North, West, and South sides—each a visual reminder of our city’s history, diversity, and resilience.

Next to each mural, you’ll find a **QR code** that links to videos of the featured family members sharing how **Lansing has shaped their lives**. It’s an invitation to connect with the people behind the portraits—and soon, to share your own voice too.

Starting **June 14** , **[Lansing Shaped](https://www.muralmatics.com/lansing-shaped)** opens to the public in a whole new way: when you visit a mural and scan the code, you’ll receive instructions on how to **record and upload your own story**. Your video will be added to a growing online gallery, where community members from all walks of life can reflect on what Lansing means to them.

To help you explore, **official Lansing Shaped maps, stickers, and buttons will be available at Rathbun Insurance beginning TODAY** —along with several other awesome community hubs across the city:

**Participating Locations:**
Strange Matter Downtown & Eastside | Rathbun Insurance | Impression 5 Science Center | Nelson Gallery | Bad Annie’s Sweary Goods | Odd Nodd Art Supply | Capital Hippie | Dear Ollie & Co. | Salus Center | The Robin Theatre | Lifeboat Recovery Services | Sweet Encounter Bakery | Elderly Instruments | Tiny Bit Of Wood | Capital Area District Library (Downtown - Basement) | The Record Lounge | Wheel House Studio

Want to plan ahead? **Subscribe to the [Lansing Shaped newsletter](https://www.muralmatics.com/lansing-shaped)** to get the digital map and playlist delivered straight to your inbox. Newsletter subscribers will receive early access to video submission instructions, updates on mural locations, and behind-the-scenes peeks of the campaign rollout.

We’re honored to support this incredible initiative. Whether you’ve lived in Lansing your whole life or you’re just beginning your story here, **Lansing Shaped** is your chance to be part of something bigger—and we can’t wait to hear how Lansing has shaped you.
