Mark your calendars! [ScrapFest 15](https://scrapfest.com/scrapfest-15-info-and-schedule) is just around the corner, and we at Rathbun Insurance couldn’t be more excited to once again partner with [Auto-Owners Insurance](https://www.auto-owners.com/) to sponsor and be present with a booth at this incredible event. Swing byt he Rathbun Insurance and Auto Owners Insurance booth **Friday, July 11 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM** and **Saturday, July 12 from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM** on **Turner Street in Old Town Lansing** (from César E. Chávez Ave. to Beaver St.) for a weekend of creativity, community, and eco-conscious fun.

What started as a scrap metal sculpture competition has blossomed into a full-blown art festival celebrating upcycled and repurposed materials in the most imaginative ways. ScrapFest brings together artists, families, music lovers, and sustainability advocates for an unforgettable experience.

🌟 **What to Expect:**

- **Live music and entertainment**

- **Eco-art vendors and family-friendly activities**

- **The beloved Refashion Show** , showcasing wearable art from scrap fabric

- **Food trucks and community booths**

- **A new documentary series** featuring the artists and their creative journeys

And of course, don’t miss the **scrap metal sculpture competition** that started it all! Participating teams had just one hour to collect up to 500 lbs of scrap metal from Friedland Industries’ processing plant in Old Town, then spent the month transforming it into awe-inspiring artwork. The finished pieces will be auctioned off during the event, with **70% of the proceeds going to the artists, 20% to ScrapFest, and 10% donated to a local charity** —this year, benefiting the[Old Town Commercial Association.](https://www.iloveoldtown.org/)

🎪 **Stop by the Rathbun Insurance/Auto Owners Insurance booth** to say hello and learn more about how we’re supporting the Lansing community every day. Events like ScrapFest align with our core belief that _Being There Matters Most_—and we love being part of the energy and innovation happening right here in our backyard.

Whether you come for the art, the food, or just a good time with great people, ScrapFest 15 is a can't-miss event. See you in Old Town!
