--- title: Celebrating Friendship, Leadership, and Tradition at the Junior League of Lansing Sustainer Luncheon --- # Celebrating Friendship, Leadership, and Tradition at the Junior League of Lansing Sustainer Luncheon * * * ## Celebrating Friendship, Leadership, and Tradition at the Junior League of Lansing Sustainer Luncheon - Posted on Monday, October 26, 2026 At Rathbun Insurance, we believe that being involved in our community means building meaningful relationships, supporting organizations that make a difference, and celebrating the people who dedicate their time and talents to making Greater Lansing a better place. Recently, Rathbun Insurance President Laura Stoken attended the J[unior League of Lansing](https://www.jllansing.org/about/)’s Fall Sustainer Luncheon, appropriately themed “Taco ‘Bout Tradition!” Laura has been a proud member of the Junior League of Lansing since 2017 and is now a Sustaining Member, continuing her connection to an organization that has played a meaningful role in her personal and professional journey. The luncheon provided a wonderful opportunity for Sustaining Members to reconnect, celebrate lasting friendships, and reflect on the impact of their collective service to the Lansing community. With a delicious taco and nacho bar, lively conversations, and plenty of shared memories, the afternoon was a celebration of the relationships and traditions that make the Junior League so special. Junior League of Lansing President Leia Sanderson welcomed attendees and recognized the women whose dedication, leadership, and commitment to volunteerism continue to strengthen both the organization and the community it serves. One of the highlights of the afternoon was the “Taco ‘Bout Your League Memory Activity,” which encouraged Sustainers to reflect on their favorite League memories, the projects that made them proud, the friendships that shaped their experiences, and their hopes for future generations of League women. The activity served as a meaningful reminder that the impact of community involvement extends far beyond the projects completed or the hours volunteered. It is also found in the relationships built, the lessons learned, and the friendships that last a lifetime. Attendees also heard from representatives of the Junior League's Endowment and Nominating Committees, who shared information about the Endowment Fund, opportunities for leadership, and ways Sustaining Members can continue contributing their experience and talents to the League's mission. For Laura, remaining connected to the Junior League of Lansing reflects her continued commitment to supporting women in leadership, strengthening community relationships, and giving back to the place she calls home. The Junior League of Lansing has a longstanding tradition of developing women leaders and encouraging meaningful community service. Its Sustaining Members are an important part of that legacy, helping ensure that the values of friendship, leadership, and volunteerism continue to thrive for generations to come. At Rathbun Insurance, we are proud to support organizations and individuals who invest in the future of our community. Whether through volunteerism, leadership, mentorship, or simply showing up to celebrate one another, we know that these connections make Greater Lansing stronger. After all, our philosophy is simple: **Being There Matters Most.** And when it comes to celebrating community, friendship, and tradition, we certainly have a lot to “taco ‘bout!” ## Insurance Proposal Give us some info and we'll help you find the best coverage options.
