At Rathbun Insurance, Being There Matters Most—and that includes showing up for the events that bring our community together. That’s why we’re proud to support this year’s Lansing Chili Cook-Off, hosted by Lansing Foodies in partnership with the Lansing Lugnuts and benefiting the MARK Advocacy Group, a nonprofit dedicated to providing support and resources to those living with kidney disease and other chronic illnesses.
This year’s chili showcase and cook-off will feature 14 restaurants and vendors, each serving up their take on the perfect bowl of chili. For one ticket price, participants will enjoy unlimited samples, plus the chance to vote for their favorites alongside an official panel of judges.

In addition to the food, the evening will feature live entertainment on three stages with music from JP & the Energy, fire hooping, balloon twisting, pumpkin painting, a chili dog eating contest, and plenty of kids’ activities.
A Cause Close to Our Hearts
This event is extra special for our Rathbun Insurance team because one of our own, Producer Marcy Rzepka, is the founder and executive director of MARK Advocacy Group. We couldn’t be more proud to stand alongside her as she leads this important work in our community. A portion of the profits from the Chili Cook-Off will directly support the nonprofit’s mission.
Last year’s cook-off drew more than 500 people, and with this year’s expanded lineup and venue at Jackson Field, it promises to be an unforgettable night filled with flavor, fun, and community spirit.
