At Rathbun Insurance, “Being There Matters Most” isn’t just a motto—it’s something we live out year after year. This week, our Producer, Heather Cooper-Kim, once again put that value into action by joining the South Lansing Business Association (SLBA) for their biannual Team Up 2 CleanUp event.

This community-wide effort brings together business owners, neighbors, and local leaders to freshen up the South Lansing area. From picking up litter to sprucing up public spaces, the work may seem small, but it adds up to a big impact for those who live, work, and travel through our city.

The SLBA, formed in 1980, has long been dedicated to strengthening and supporting Lansing’s south side. Its members—ranging from small business owners to attorneys, bankers, and community partners—share one common goal: to make South Lansing stronger, cleaner, and more connected. From Cedar Street improvements to business district beautification, the SLBA’s legacy is rooted in action and collaboration.

Heather has been an active member for many years, and we’re proud to see her continue to roll up her sleeves and make a difference. Her commitment to initiatives like Team Up 2 CleanUp reflects not only her personal dedication but also Rathbun Insurance’s mission to serve and support the Greater Lansing community.
