This past Saturday, September 27th, CEO Ben Rathbun and Producer Darren Bardell had a blast supporting Cristo Rey Church at their 5th Annual Golf Scramble, held at Prairie Creek Golf Course in DeWitt. It was a day filled with camaraderie, laughter, and community spirit—all in support of a remarkable Lansing institution.

Cristo Rey Church, founded in 1961, has long been a cornerstone for Lansing’s Spanish-speaking population. Today, it operates under the umbrella of Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton & Clinton Counties (CCIEC). Beyond offering bilingual church services and religious education programs, Cristo Rey is home to a vibrant community center that provides essential services, healthcare, counseling, and cultural celebrations.

For more than six decades, Cristo Rey has been dedicated to uplifting families, fostering faith, and creating a strong sense of belonging in Lansing’s

Hispanic and Latino communities. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, individuals of Hispanic and Latino descent now represent over 12% of the city’s population, making the work of Cristo Rey more important than ever.
