Celebrating Recovery and Taking Steps Toward a Recovery Friendly Workplace with LifeBoat

Celebrating Recovery and Taking Steps Toward a Recovery Friendly Workplace with LifeBoat

Ben and Laura were honored to be guests at LifeBoat’s 3rd Annual Recovery Recognition Night and Hygiene Drive. This unforgettable evening brought together community members, leaders, and advocates to celebrate the incredible work being done in the field of substance use recovery.

The event wasn’t just about recognition—it was also about action. Funds raised will help individuals in need obtain essential documents such as IDs and birth certificates, and hygiene supplies were collected to support unhoused members of the Lansing community.

Event Highlights

  • Recognition of leaders in recovery support – honoring those making a meaningful difference every day.

  • Silent auction – featuring one-of-a-kind items and experiences.

  • Delicious food and drinks – included with every ticket, making the evening both impactful and enjoyable.

  • Opportunities to give back – through donation drives and community engagement.

A Step Toward Recovery Friendly Workplaces

For the past several months, Ben and Laura have been meeting with LifeBoat staff to discuss their Recovery Friendly Workplaces (RFW) program. This initiative encourages healthy and safe environments where employers, employees, and communities work together to create positive change and remove barriers for those impacted by substance use disorder.

We are excited to share that Rathbun Insurance will begin orientation in October, guided by LifeBoat, who is certified to help organizations on their journey to becoming a Recovery Friendly Workplace.

Becoming an RFW is another way we can live out our vision, Being There Matters Most—by ensuring that support, understanding, and opportunity are available to everyone.
