As we continue celebrating 70 years of Being There Matters Most, Rathbun Insurance is proud to highlight the people and organizations that make our community stronger through our $70 for 70 campaign.
This week, Commercial Lines Account Executive Cheryl Grimes selected REACH Studio Art Center, a vibrant nonprofit community art center located in Lansing’s REO Town district.
REACH Studio Art Center offers creative, out-of-school engagement in the arts for all ages and abilities, with classes and workshops taught by local teaching artists. Their programs are intentionally accessible, providing free and sliding-scale opportunities across a wide range of artistic media and disciplines. Programming takes place on REACH’s campus of seven studios in REO Town and throughout the community via the REACH Art Truck, bringing art directly to neighborhoods across Lansing.
Cheryl chose to support REACH because of the powerful way they improve lives through creativity. Their hands-on programs, school partnerships, outreach efforts, and welcoming studio environment give people of all ages the opportunity to learn, grow, and express themselves through art—often in ways that build confidence, connection, and joy.
Each year, more than 1,700 youth and adults participate in 1,200 hours of out-of-school arts instruction and engagement through REACH programs. Right here in REO Town, Lansing is incredibly fortunate to have an organization so deeply committed to inclusion, creativity, and community well-being.
We’re proud to support REACH Studio Art Center through Cheryl’s $70 for 70 selection and grateful for the role they play in making our community a more vibrant, expressive, and welcoming place.
Stay tuned as we continue spotlighting the nonprofits our team has chosen to support throughout our 70th year.
