Being There When It Matters Most: Every Rathbun Team Member Trained in CPR, First Aid, and Life-Saving Readiness

At Rathbun Insurance, “Being There Matters Most” isn’t just something we say. It’s something we actively prepare for.

For another training cycle, our entire team has completed CPR and First Aid certification through the American Red Cross. This is a commitment we continue to make because emergencies don’t wait, and being prepared can make all the difference in a critical moment.

CPR and First Aid training equip our team with the knowledge and confidence to respond when seconds matter. Whether it’s assisting a colleague, helping a client, or stepping in for someone in our community, these are life-saving skills that extend far beyond the workplace. It’s about showing up for people when they need it most.

We are especially grateful to have one of our own team members, Kim Evans lead this effort. Kim, an account manager at Rathbun Insurance is also a certified trainer, bringing an added layer of meaning to this experience. It’s an opportunity for her to share her expertise while allowing her passions and talents outside of insurance to shine in a way that directly benefits our entire team.

This training also connects closely with our commitment to being a Recovery Friendly Workplace. As part of that initiative, we have implemented Narcan alongside our AED to strengthen our ability to respond to opioid-related emergencies. With our Red Cross training, every member of our team now has the ability to confidently operate both if the need arises.

Preparedness is a form of care. It reflects the kind of workplace we strive to be and the role we believe we play in our community.

At Rathbun Insurance, we don’t just insure what matters. We prepare to protect it.
