As part of our $70 for 70 campaign, Rathbun Insurance continues to celebrate our 70th anniversary by supporting organizations that matter to our team members and our community.
This week, we’re proud to highlight Kim Evans, Personal Lines Account Manager, who selected Friends of Camp Wacousta – Girl Scouts of America as the organization she would like Rathbun Insurance to support.
Friends of Camp Wacousta is devoted to growing and sharing the love of the Girl Scout camp experience with others. The organization helps ensure that girls have access to meaningful outdoor opportunities that encourage learning, leadership, and confidence-building.
For Kim, this cause is deeply personal.
Kim grew up as a Girl Scout and has remained part of the Girl Scout community for more than seven years as an adult volunteer. Supporting Friends of Camp Wacousta allows her to help provide outdoor experiences for young girls, experiences that challenge and inspire them.
She especially loves watching girls grow as they build new skills and confidence while discovering just how capable they truly are.
Through programs and training opportunities, Friends of Camp Wacousta helps volunteers and leaders create safe, engaging outdoor experiences for the next generation. One upcoming opportunity includes a hands-on outdoor leadership course designed to help adults confidently guide young or first-time campers through their first outdoor adventures.

Friends of Camp Wacousta is also offering a special course on April 11, 2026 to train and recertify Level 1 USA Archery Instructors, helping ensure safe and engaging archery programming across Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan properties.
At Rathbun Insurance, we believe that organizations like Friends of Camp Wacousta play an important role in helping young people develop confidence, independence, and leadership skills.
