February is Insurance Careers Month, and Ben Rathbun, CEO of Rathbun Insurance, alongside Heather Cooper-Kim, Producer, were once again showing up for the next generation of insurance professionals.
Ben and Heather attended the 2026 Etiquette Dinner hosted at Lansing Community College by the Gamma Iota Sigma Gamma Mu chapter. Gamma Iota Sigma is a professional insurance fraternity committed to developing student talent through world-class programs, innovative partnerships, critical industry support, expansive campus engagement, and an unmatched lifelong professional network. Through this work, the organization plays a key role in supporting the sustainable growth and diversification of the insurance industry.
Rathbun Insurance has attended this dinner for many years as an intentional opportunity to connect with rising insurance professionals, engage in meaningful networking conversations, and support students as they explore career paths within the industry.
This year’s event was especially meaningful for the Rathbun team. Miguel Solis, a former Rathbun Insurance summer intern, was in attendance continuing to grow his professional skills and network. Also attending was Brihanna Berwald, Ben’s current mentee through the Wilson Talent Center Insurance BFF Mentorship Program—making the evening a powerful full-circle moment.
We are proud to support the next generation of insurance professionals as they build skills, confidence, and connections. Opportunities like the Gamma Iota Sigma Etiquette Dinner highlight why early exposure, mentorship, and consistent industry presence matter as students explore their future opportunities and envision careers in insurance.
