At Rathbun Insurance, one of our favorite traditions is welcoming the next generation of professionals into our industry. This year, we were proud to host our annual intern swap with Accident Fund Insurance for the fourth consecutive year.
We welcomed a group of talented Accident Fund interns for a day of learning, exploration, and connection at our Lansing office. Throughout the day, the interns gained firsthand exposure to the many career paths available within the insurance industry and learned what makes Rathbun Insurance unique.
The day included sessions on Business Operations 101, agency sales and service, community involvement, and the importance of ongoing professional development. Our team members shared their career journeys, offered insight into the skills needed to succeed in the workplace, and answered questions about opportunities within the insurance field.
Of course, learning was balanced with plenty of fun. The interns participated in interactive activities, collaborated with members of our team, and even put their social media skills to the test through creating a lighthearted video. This video project was thought of, planned for, directed, and produced by Rathbun summer interns Jessica Hua and Rayon Sanders. At Rathbun Insurance, we believe that investing in young people is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen our communities. The insurance industry offers rewarding careers in sales, service, marketing, finance, operations, technology, human resources, and leadership, yet many students are unaware of the opportunities available. Experiences like this help bridge that gap and provide valuable exposure as students begin considering their future career paths.

Four years into this partnership, the enthusiasm, curiosity, and fresh perspectives these students bring continue to inspire us.
