Rathbun Insurance CEO Ben Rathbun recently had the opportunity to attend the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) National Conference at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This year’s conference, themed “Rooted to RISE: Strengthening Leaders. Expanding Opportunity,” brought together more than 1,400 insurance professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, students, and industry leaders from across the country for several days of learning, connection, and professional development.
The conference offered a wide range of programming focused on the evolving insurance industry and the people who will lead it into the future. MainStage plenaries and keynote presentations explored emerging industry trends, risk management, leadership, and professional advancement.
Attendees also had access to more than 25 interactive workshops covering topics such as career growth, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion. A two-day Career Fair and Trade Show created additional opportunities for emerging professionals to connect with insurance organizations and industry partners from across the country.
The conference culminated with the NAAIA Leadership Awards Gala, a signature event recognizing excellence, achievement, and outstanding leadership throughout the insurance community.
For Ben, the conference was an opportunity to learn from professionals with different experiences and perspectives, build new relationships, and bring fresh ideas back to Rathbun Insurance and the Greater Lansing community.
