Last night, our team had the honor of attending the 517 Business Awards, powered by M3 Group, a celebration of the businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who make Greater Lansing such a special place to live and work.
This annual event is a celebration of grit, growth, and great ideas. For years, 517 Magazine has been telling the stories of businesses across the Capital Region, and this event brings those stories to life by recognizing the people and organizations driving our local economy forward.
Nine awards were presented, highlighting small businesses that are making a meaningful impact. As Tiffany Dowling, President of M3 Group, shared, the room truly represented the full spectrum of our business community, from small teams of just a few employees to organizations with hundreds or even thousands. What connects them all is a shared commitment to building something meaningful right here in Lansing.
We are incredibly proud to share that Rathbun Insurance was not only nominated, but selected as a recipient of the Small Business Award of Excellence. This award recognizes businesses that are innovating, growing, and staying deeply rooted in their communities.
As we celebrate our 70th year, this recognition feels especially meaningful. It is a reflection of the generations who came before us, the employees who have shaped our culture, and the clients and community members who have trusted us along the way. Being a third-generation business is something we carry with pride, and moments like this remind us why that legacy matters.
Lansing continues to inspire us. It is a place where businesses support one another, where ideas take root, and where community truly comes first. We are grateful to be part of it and excited to continue building into the future.
