Rathbun Insurance is proud to once again partner with the Wilson Talent Center Business and Risk Management Program to co-host a meaningful day of professional networking for local students. This annual event has become a highlight of our ongoing collaboration, providing students with real-world opportunities to build confidence, practice communication skills, and connect with professionals across a variety of industries.
The Networking Workshop will take place on February 18 from 8:30–10:30 AM at Wilson Talent Center and will be held during Insurance Careers Month—making it an especially fitting time to spotlight career pathways within the insurance industry and beyond.
As part of the morning, the Rathbun Insurance team will deliver a 30-minute presentation on how to network effectively, equipping students with practical tools, conversation strategies, and best practices before they begin their networking rounds. Prior to the event, we’ll also work directly with students to help them feel prepared, confident, and ready to engage.
Morning Schedule:
• 8:30–8:45 AM: Welcome, overview, and introductions for all guests and students
• 8:45–10:30 AM: Networking rounds (five 15-minute sessions)
Our structure is intentionally designed to maximize impact. The first three rounds will focus on 1:1 professional-to-student conversations, giving students personalized interaction and mentorship. The final two rounds will shift to small-group discussions, allowing for broader dialogue and shared learning.
This event reflects our continued commitment to supporting workforce development, strengthening community partnerships, and helping students envision their futures with clarity and confidence.
