Earlier this month, Rathbun Insurance President Laura Stoken had the privilege of volunteering at the Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo, held February 7–9, 2025, at the Lansing Center. Laura serves as a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lansing, supporting the League’s presence throughout the exciting weekend event.
The Junior League of Lansing is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Their guiding philosophy — Developing Women to do a World of Good — reflects the powerful ripple effect that occurs when women are equipped, connected, and inspired to lead.
Throughout the weekend, Junior League volunteers greeted attendees as they entered the expo and staffed a booth sharing information about League membership and their upcoming Brunch & Walk with the League event. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with women across Mid-Michigan, share leadership opportunities, and invite others into a community committed to service.
The Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo truly lives up to its reputation as the ultimate weekend of shopping, style, health, and fun. The Lansing Center was transformed into a vibrant marketplace featuring hundreds of exhibits. Attendees explored the latest fashion trends, wellness advice, home décor inspiration, and more. The weekend also included main stage presentations, prize giveaways, BLINGO, and countless opportunities to shop, learn, and celebrate.
For Laura, volunteering at the Expo was about more than greeting guests — it was about championing women’s leadership and strengthening connections within our community.
