Rathbun Insurance is looking forward to serving as a Silver Sponsor of the upcoming 2026 Recognition Night in support of Lifeboat Addiction Recovery Services.
The event will be held on September 21 at 5:00 p.m. in the Hannah Center Banquet Room and will bring the community together to celebrate recovery and support the important work Lifeboat is doing throughout our region.
Our connection to Lifeboat is especially meaningful to us at Rathbun Insurance. The introduction, education, and resources provided to our team by Lifeboat played a direct role in our journey to becoming a Recovery Friendly Workplace. Their team helped us better understand what it means to create a workplace where individuals in recovery are supported, where stigma is challenged, and where employees know how to connect themselves or others with resources when they are needed.
Today, we are incredibly proud to be a designated Recovery Friendly Workplace, and we are equally proud to continue supporting the organization that helped introduce us to this important work.
Lifeboat Addiction Recovery Services’ mission is to provide peer support to all seeking recovery from substance use disorder. Through the support of community partners, individuals in or seeking recovery can gain access to certified professional recovery coaches who walk alongside them as they identify their goals, develop a path forward, navigate barriers, and connect with resources that can help them build fulfilling lives in recovery.
That support extends far beyond coaching. Lifeboat helps meet practical needs that can make a tremendous difference in someone’s recovery journey, including bus passes for vital appointments, transportation to inpatient treatment and detox services, access to community computer labs for job applications, resume building, housing searches and virtual appointments, recovery support meetings, and assistance obtaining important documentation needed for employment and housing.
Lifeboat’s impact also reaches into workplaces throughout our community. Their team educates local employers on recovery best practices, provides life-saving Narcan training, and helps ensure employers and employees understand the recovery resources available right here in our region.
We have experienced the impact of that education firsthand and currently have Narcan onsite for guests and neighbors of Rathbun Insurance should that be needed..
