At Rathbun Insurance, we believe that being there matters most. That belief extends beyond insurance policies and into the communities we serve. That's why we were proud to serve as a Mile Marker/Kilometer Sponsor for Max's Race, held on June 13 at Michigan State University in support of The Davies Project.
The event brought together community members, families, volunteers, and supporters who share a commitment to helping children and families access critical healthcare services. Rathbun Insurance CEO Ben Rathbun was honored to participate in the walk and join others in raising awareness for this important cause.
The Davies Project's mission is simple but incredibly impactful: to connect families to resources and community by providing reliable transportation for seriously ill children and pregnant women to essential healthcare.
Through a network of dedicated volunteer drivers, The Davies Project provides transportation to medical appointments for:
- Children with serious health conditions
- Pregnant women in need of prenatal care
- Parents with babies receiving care in the NICU when transportation is unavailable
For many families, reliable transportation can be the difference between receiving timely medical care and missing critical appointments. The Davies Project helps remove that barrier, ensuring that families can focus on what matters most—the health and well-being of their children and loved ones.
We are grateful for organizations like The Davies Project that identify unmet needs in our community and work tirelessly to provide meaningful solutions. Their efforts not only improve health outcomes but also provide peace of mind and support during some of life's most challenging moments.
Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participants who helped make Max's Race a success. We were honored to play a small role in supporting this important mission and look forward to continuing to invest in organizations that strengthen our community.
At Rathbun Insurance, we know that strong communities are built when neighbors show up for one another—and The Davies Project is a wonderful example of that spirit in action.
