This February, Rathbun Insurance is excited to support an organization that is helping shape the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders right here in our community: Waverly Robotics.
We are proud to support Waverly Robotics’ Parent Night Out fundraiser on February 13 from 5:00–9:00 PM at Studio @ 414 in Lansing, and we invite our clients, friends, and community partners to join us by purchasing tickets and supporting this incredible program.
Waverly Robotics is a student-driven STEM program that gives students hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering, and math through competitive robotics. Students work collaboratively to design, build, program, and test robots while developing critical life skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, and resilience.
Programs like Waverly Robotics go far beyond technical skills. Students learn how to manage projects, solve complex problems, think creatively, and support one another—experiences that translate directly into future careers and lifelong success.
Robotics programs provide students with real-world learning opportunities that traditional classroom environments can’t always replicate. Participants gain exposure to engineering and design thinking, coding and technology literacy, collaboration and teamwork, public speaking and presentation skills, and perseverance through trial, error, and innovation. These are the very skills our workforce and our communities will depend on in the years ahead.
