We are thrilled to welcome Zeinab AlRabiah to the Rathbun Insurance team for her summer internship! Zeinab is joining us through our Internship Program and will participate in the 10-week Internship Passport program, a collaboration we initiated two years ago with Genuine Immersion. This program is meticulously designed to offer interns a comprehensive introduction to the workplace, the insurance industry, and the myriad career opportunities within this exciting field.
Zeinab first connected with Rathbun Insurance through the Insurance and Risk Management Program offered by the Lansing School District and Eaton RESA, a program in which Rathbun Insurance frequently volunteers. In this program, Zeinab and her classmates explored careers in the Insurance and Risk Management industry in a nationally recognized risk management program of Olivet College. Students investigated the process of risk management and the field of insurance, including: social value, economic influence, loss exposures and protection, marketing, claims adjusting, underwriting, personal insurance, financial planning, and commercial insurance.
Having grown up in the Lansing area, she recently graduated from Lansing Sexton High School and will be attending Michigan State University in the fall to study Finance. Zeinab is known for her open-mindedness and eagerness to embrace new ideas and experiences. She is passionate about understanding diverse cultures, religions, and topics, which will undoubtedly enrich our team dynamics. Zeinab loves to read—a hobby she’s enjoyed since she was 12 years old—and finds joy in drawing, painting with colored pastels, sewing, knitting, and occasionally baking cookies and pastries.
During the 10-week program, Zeinab will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced professionals, who will provide her with guidance and support as she learns about the insurance industry. She will also have the chance to work on real projects and assignments, which will help her develop important skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
