Located on Old Lansing Road, the Westside YMCA is more than just a place to swim, camp, or exercise—it’s a place where lives are changed. The Y works side-by-side with neighbors to strengthen the foundation of our community. From nurturing the potential of children and teens, to improving the health and well-being of all, to giving support to our most vulnerable populations, the Y is a hub of impact, connection, and care.

This partnership is especially meaningful for our team because it reflects the deep personal commitment of one of our own. Rathbun Insurance producer Heather Cooper-Kim has volunteered with

the Lansing YMCA since 2010. Heather joined as a member of the Christian Emphasis Committee, she became chair of the committee in 2012, filling the position that was held by her dad, Don Cooper, who had served with the Lansing YMCA for 40 years. In 2018, Heather was honored to receive the C. Colton Carr-YMCA Service Award.

We’re honored to play a small part in helping the Y continue its mission of strengthening our city and empowering individuals of all ages.
