We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Bejleri to Rathbun Insurance as our newest summer intern! Sarah will be joining us for the next 12 weeks as part of our Rathbun Insurance Intern Passport Program, a unique learning experience designed to provide a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at the insurance industry.
This fall, Sarah will be a junior at Michigan State University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Business Risk Management. From the Philippines, Sarah is an international student who brings a global perspective and a deep curiosity for the financial and insurance world.
Sarah’s academic journey is nothing short of impressive. She is an Honors BS Economics student, minoring in Data Science, Quantitative Data Analytics, and Insurance and Risk Management. Her passion for using data-driven insights to solve real-world problems makes her an exciting addition to our team.
Through our Intern Passport Program, Sarah will travel across different functional areas within our agency, working with experienced professionals and engaging in hands-on learning opportunities each week. As she completes each rotation, she’ll earn stamps in her internship passport—symbolizing her growing knowledge and the value she’s contributing to our agency. We have also arranged several industry shadow experiences with professionals in finance, insurance including several carriers and the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (industry regulator), and public policy giving her a well-rounded industry perspective. Catch her at networking events with our staff like the upcoming Lansing Economic Club, Lansing or Mason rotary.
We’re excited to help Sarah apply her classroom learning to client-facing projects and hope this experience will support her goals of using economics and analytics to make a meaningful impact.
Please join us in giving Sarah a warm Rathbun welcome! We look forward to all the contributions and fresh ideas she’ll bring this summer.
